The Bay of Plenty Education Trust has hit the $2 million mark in terms of money gifted to local youth for their tertiary education endeavours.
Twenty-three BOP students about to embark on tertiary education journeys will head off this month bolstered by Bay of Plenty Education Trust financial support.
The students will each receive $6,000 in instalments during their studies, thanks to the Trust’s Science, Technology and Emerging Industries Scholarships.
Eighteen young Bay of Plenty students have just received $108,000 worth of scholarship money to share as they head off on their tertiary education journeys. Thirteen students from the Western Bay of Plenty, and five from the Eastern Bay of Plenty, have just benefited from the latest Bay of Plenty Education Trust funding round. Each will receive $6,000, paid in instalments during their studies, thanks to the Trust’s Science, Technology and Emerging Industries Scholarship.
Five Eastern Bay of Plenty students start their tertiary studies this year, backed by a collective $30,000 in Bay of Plenty Education Trust scholarship money. BOP Education Trust Science, Technology and Emerging Industries Scholarships have been awarded to Serene Ratu, Whakatane High School; Amy Pilkinton and Romy van der Boom, Trident College; Chelsea Aim-Linstead, Opotiki College and Jamie Wennink, Edgecumbe College.
The Bay of Plenty Education Trust has committed to gifting $108,000 from its coffers in its latest scholarship round, benefiting students beginning tertiary studies. Thirteen Western Bay of Plenty students are amongst the recipients of the BOP Education Trust’s recently awarded Science, Technology and Emerging Industries Scholarships. They are joined by five Eastern Bay of Plenty recipients, will all the students receiving $6,000, which will be paid in instalments during their study years.
