John Revington

John Revington brings experience in the not-for-profit sector to the Bay of Plenty Education Board – that, and plenty of business nous.

Work within the not-for-profit sector has included time served as a school board member and as a committee member on various sports organisations.

John is a recently retired (at a comparatively young age) civil engineer. His most recent role was as the Beca group’s BOP / Waikato Regional Manager. There he had responsibility for about 200 professional staff and was involved in business management and strategic direction.

He served on the Beca finance committee, and was a director of Beca Corporate Holdings, with a budget of about $50 million.

The education system is very much part of his home life, with sons attending a local college.
